Dear Players, Parents, and Coaches,
By way of introduction, I'm one
of just a handful of individuals with experience as an NCAA Div 1 pitcher and coach with the
CSCS credential. As an All-Star high
school pitcher growing up in the Los Angeles, CA area, I was recruited
by some of the top baseball programs in the western United
States.
I
attended Brigham Young University (BYU) on a baseball scholarship, but
my career there was cut short due to an arm injury. I then
became a graduate assistant baseball coach before going on to lead
various successful baseball programs from Little League through high
school varsity, Connie Mack, and American Legion. Several of my
players moved on to play in college and professionally.
In
the process, I've had the
opportunity of learning the game over the years from some of the top coaches in the
business, including John Scolinos, Vern Law, Glenn Tuckett, Gary
Pullins, and Geoff Zahn, amongst others.
I
now do private & group pitching instruction in the Oklahoma City, OK
area, along with writing and developing cutting-edge training programs
and tools for baseball and softball players.
I
earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Brigham
Young University and a Masters of Science in Business Management from
Lesley College Graduate School. I
am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
In short, I'm bringing the best of both worlds to baseball training
- real world experience and solid scientific research - to
every training program I develop.
On a personal level, I've been married for
31 years, am the father
of five and recently became a grandfather. My wife, Cari, works with
me in our baseball training business.
As a certified trainer and baseball coach, my objective is making sure
that my personally developed training programs safely improve your softball and baseball
skills.
Wondering Why You Need A Strength and Conditioning Specialist As Your Baseball
or Softball Coach?
With a background in anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology, a strength and conditioning specialist is
qualified to design safe
and effective baseball & softball training programs to help you
improve your on-field performance.
As such I
can also
help motivate and encourage you to reach your goals in such areas as increasing the velocity of your baseball pitches and throws
as well as serve as a
resource for the latest information on health and fitness.

My training programs and baseball specific exercises and drills have a
reputation for safely improving player performance, reducing the risk of injury,
and being affordable.
More specifically:
1) My baseball coaching programs are specifically designed for Baseball/Softball. Baseball and softball
are games of short-burst activities or skills like hitting, throwing, or running. Each
requires the use of tremendous physical force -- high velocity ballistic
movements --
and a great deal of power, agility, flexibility, and quickness. regardless of your
age or ability level. So, while many trainers and training programs are more into
building mass or a chiseled steroid look, my programs focuses on developing
strength, power, flexibility and speed, which is what you need if you want to
improve where it counts the most -- on the field.
2) I'm a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength
and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Would you seek legal advice from a
lawyer who didn't pass the Bar, or send your child for medical care to someone
who wasn't a doctor? Of course not - these would be your minimum requirements
in selecting one of these professionals. The same is true with NSCA certification.
The NSCA is the pre-eminent strength and conditioning authority in the world.
Requirements for certification include a bachelor's or master's degree from a
regionally accredited college or university. Maintaining certification requires
continuing education and adherence to the NSCA code of ethics.
3) I provide on-line supervision, training advice and guidance with each
program. When you purchase one of my programs or register for personalized
on-line instruction, you get easy, on-line access to me. You'll receive prompt and
serious attention within 24 hours. More importantly, I'll take the time to
understand what makes your situation special. You'll never get patronizing
remarks or jargon. I always explain what I'm recommending and why.
4) My softball and baseball designed programs are easy to follow, based on authoritative sources, and are
affordable. Only reputable, long standing research and principles based on
published scientific studies, pertinent statements from relevant professional
associations and organizations, and consensus views of other experts and
professional trainers are used to develop my programs. All baseball exercises
and drills are
completely illustrated, concise, and designed so you can start your
training immediately. I also provide basic on-line support with printed
programs and more in-depth, one-on-one support with my personal training
programs.
5) I stand behind my programs. Although there are many training variables
beyond my control, such as your skill level, work ethic, state of health,
genetics, etc, that prevent me from being able to guarantee your outcome, I
do guarantee your satisfaction. I even let you use the baseball exercises and training program for a
complete training cycle and if your performance doesn't improve, you can return
the program and I'll refund your purchase price.
"Thanks
for everything. The stuff you have passed on to me is now paying off.
I
am about to play college baseball, as right now it looks like I have my choice
of five D-1 programs.
Again, thanks for your help!" Frazier Hall, Baton
Rouge, LA
Then, I know you will be making an
informed decision about selecting a qualified baseball coach to help improve your
game!To your success,
