Baseball Pitching and Throwing Skills Development

Pitching is perhaps the most technique sensitive position in baseball. Whether you're a first time pitcher, or a veteran who needs some extra work in a particular area, this pitching instruction training program is for you.

Josh Satterlee

"Pitching lessons with Steve were the best thing I could ever have done for my son.  He is 10 years old and in his 4th year of playing ball...  When we first started lessons his throws were all coming up short, especially from 3B to 1st.  After 4 lessons, we added an extra 15-20' on his throws.  His coach heard he was taking lessons so decided to try him as a pitcher.  In his first game [referenced in article above] he pitched 3 2/3 innings and got the win.  The confidence boost was amazing"  Jefferson Satterlee, Pauls Valley, OK

Together we'll focus on developing and improving the six key factors of pitching performance:

  • Learning proper throwing mechanics

  • Locating pitches

  • Imparting movement to pitches, including the 4 seam and 2 seam fastball (sinker), the changeup, and, as appropriate for the age of the pitcher, the curveball and slider

  • Developing and increasing throwing velocity and arm strength

  • Fielding the position

  • Controlling the running game

Dane was named to the Western Oklahoma High School All-Star Team
and will attend Redlands Community College on a baseball scholarship.

In addition,  we'll cover pitching strategy for a wide variety of situations - creating a pitching plan, pitching by the count, setting up hitters, situational pitching, effective bullpen practice, and much, much more.

"Paul has had several good outings since we last saw you. He pitched a one hit shutout to lead his team to a first place tournament win last weekend. He also pitched in a 16 and under wooden bat tournament in Nevada, MO. He held them to 4 hits and shut them out too. I am telling you this so you know that the training skills and workouts you have showed him are working"  Tony Mitchell, Neosho, MO

visited the U.S. & Baseball Fit for a week of one-on-one training.

Bat Speed Training

Are you making contact, but want to hit with more power?  Still waiting to hit that first home run?  Then this specialized strength and conditioning baseball instruction program is for you.  It’s designed to help both baseball and softball players hit the ball harder farther more consistently.

Based on my top selling Bat Speed Training Program, which utilizes the proven conditioning principle known as “Overload/Underload” training, this specialized conditioning session will show you how to train for increased hitting power.

"George's bat speed has increased, and so has his confidence. His infield hits are much  harder and while he did not get a big fly ball hit this weekend, they all were still hard hits. So, we are very  happy with the results of your program."  Curt Eckert, CA

You’ll be shown how to set up your own personalized training program that will enable you to make consistent, hard contact. Specialized exercises are explained in detail, and your training includes a free copy of my Bat Speed program.  This program consists of the following:

  • An explanation of the appropriate exercises that will improve strength and power in the two key areas of the body that contribute to bat speed and hitting power

  • An evaluation of your present grip strength

  • A complete explanation of how to implement the Bat Speed program

  • An evaluation and reading of your current bat speed and reaction time.  Using the BatMaxx 5000 bat speed computer, you’ll learn how fast your swing is in mph as well as your reaction time in milliseconds.  In addition, I’ll provide you with helpful comparative data so you know how you “stack up” with your age group
  • Tips and suggestions on your swing mechanics to help increase bat speed - your grip, stance, mental approach, hitting by the count, etc.

          and

  • Special drills and training for tracking pitches and developing timing
